Don’t buy your fabric till we have confirmed it is suitable for your project, too often the wrong fabric is selected which is not going to give the result you want.
Reupholstering an existing piece of furniture can be cost effective and can save you money if the piece to be re-covered was originally well-made or the style or size is ideal. Some pieces also have sentimental value. The final cost to reupholster will hinge mostly on the fabric selection and any special features your piece may have (channel-back, tufting, buttons, piping, skirts etc.). Cheap furniture is not cost effective to recover as pieces mass produced and imported from abroad will always beat well made and vintage items in initial cost but of course will not last.
